The company has begun sampling a 128-Mb SDRAM device that uses its performance-enhancing Virtual Channel Memory (VCM). It has also begun sampling 128- and a 256-MB memory modules based on the 128-Mb devices. Fabricated with a 0.18-micron process, the VCM SDRAMs achieve high-speed operation with a read latency of 2 at 133 MHz (7.5 ns) using the PC133 standard. The device is both pin- and package-compatible with standard SDRAMs. Sample pricing is $20 each.
