Operating at 300 MHz, a new 64 Mb double-data-rate SDRAM is intended for high-speed graphics cards. The 64 Mb device's 2 Mb x 32 Mb configuration can process 2.4 GB of data per second, said to be the highest rate among all available devices in its class. The SDRAM operates on 2.5V and is housed in an FBGA package. Other possible applications include notebook PCs, routers, switching memory and level 3 cache for high-end servers.
