Fabricated on 0.13µ technology at IBM's foundry in Burlington, Vermont, a new family of 36-Mbit, ultra data rate (UDR), synchronous SRAMs targets high performance networking applications. The family includes QUAD Synchronous SRAMs, which are compatible with the company's QDR II products, as well as common I/O DDR-II devices. With clock speeds as high as 400 Mhz the UDR family is able to provide data rates up to 3.6 GB/s. The IS61QDB41M36 is a burst of four, separate I/O devices organized as 1Mx36. The IS61QDB21M36 is the same but with a burst of two. The IS61QDB42Mx18 and the IS61QDB22M18 are the 2Mx18 versions, respectively. The family uses a 1.8V core power supply and either a 1.5V or 1.8V Vddq power supply, and is offered at speeds from 175 MHz up to 400 Mhz. Housed in a 165-ball FBGA package, each device has a 15 mm x 17 mm body size, and a 1 mm pitch. Typical pricing is $100 each/10,000 for 300-Mhz devices.
