The HV843 and HV845 rely on patented technology to significantly reduce audible noise and feature independent input control for lamp selection and 180 Vp-p output voltages. They are designed to drive two EL lamps with a combined area of 3.5 square inches from input supply voltages ranging from 2V to 5.8V. Both devices use a single inductor in conjunction with a minimal number of passive components. The HV845 also has two independent common output pins that further minimize dc offset in a 2-segment EL lamp. The HV843 is available in an MLP/DFN-10 package (HV835K7-G) and HV845 in an MLP/QFN-12 (HV845K7-G). Both are green and RoHS compliant. Prices are $1.08 and 1.12 each/1,000, respectively.
