Adding a chip-enable input to the STWD100 watchdog timer IC prevents automatic reset generation during in-system programming or boot-up. The device comes in a five-pin SC70-5 package measuring 2 mm x 2.1 mm and is also available in SOT23-5 package with a footprint of 2.8 mm x 2.8 mm. A variety of configurations offer timeout periods of 3.4 ms, 6.3 ms, 102 ms, or 1.6s and a choice of push-pull or open-drain active-low output configurations are on tap.
