Equally comfortable in home or automotive designs, the TAS3108 audio DSP provides high-performance audio processing capabilities up to 7.1-channel processing at an attractive price point. The DSP performs five simultaneous instructions per clock cycle and operates at 135 MHz, providing a maximum of 675 MIPS. It teams a 48-bit data path with a single-cycle 76-bit multiply-accumulate to deliver 135 MMACS. A set of tools, optimized for audio processing, comes with the chip. These include graphical development and integrated development environments, and a traditional tool consisting of an editor and simulator/debugger tools, respectively.
