The device employs a PowerPC Book E architecture and a two-way crossbar variation of the IBM CoreConnect high-speed processor local bus. Other features include three PCI-X DDRI/II (133/267) ports, a DDRI/II memory controller, I20 messaging with two-channel DMA controller, an XOR function for parity generation and checking, and a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port.
