Addressing price-sensitive industrial and consumer applications, the 56F8100 series digital signal controllers (DSCs) combine digital signal processor performance with microcontroller functionality. The 11 devices in the series provide 40 MHz/MIPS processing power, on-chip flash memory, and a full assortment of analog and digital peripherals. Features include 32 KB to 512 KB of flash memory, multiple package options from 48 to 160 LQFPs, PWMs, four-input quadrature decoders, multiple timers, general-purpose I/O and serial interfaces, 12-bit a/d converters, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.
