Intended for use with the firm's SX Series communications controller chip is a Java-programmable virtual machine (VM) optimized for embedded applications and occupying less than 4K 12-bit works of on-chip program memory. The virtual machine, a software implementation of a microprocessor, can be stored in the on-chip flash memory of an SX Series chip and executed as needed to run compiled Java code. The virtual machine is priced at $25,000.
