The ET1011 Gigabit Ethernet PHY is said to be particularly suitable for use with GbE MAC-integrated core logic chipsets. Based on the company's patented TruePHY technology, the device is also capable of handling the high-throughput and low-latency capabilities associated with PCI Express. These include active state power management, advanced error reporting, relaxed ordering rules in the split transaction interface and multiple traffic classes. Other features include RGMII and RTBI interfaces and a 68-pin MLCC package measuring 10 mm x 10 mm x 1 mm. The device comes with a software bundle that includes cable diagnostic tools, manufacturing test utilities, and international drivers for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/NDIS 6.0 and Linux 2.2 and 2.4.
