DSP Valley, a recently formed organization based in Belgium, provides a forum for companies developing DSPs and related design tools and intellectual property. It hopes to stimulate growth among its members by exploiting the synergy and cooperation and competition between companies to create joint R&D projects and enable cross-fertilization. The membership includes university groups, research institutes, and industrial companies that all have design teams and activities located in Flanders (Belgium). Current membership includes companies like Agfa-Gevaert, Philips, STMicroelectronics, Wind River Systems, and Xilinx as well as research and university organizations such as the Groep T Leuven Institute of Technology, IMEC, the Catholic University of Leuven, and others.

Dave Bursky, the founder of New Ideas in Communications, a publication website featuring the blog column Chipnastics – the Art and Science of Chip Design. He is also president of PRN Engineering, a technical writing and market consulting company.
