Claimed to be the first programmable 64-bit, 66-MHz soft PCI core to offer a complete solution, including Target Only, Master Only and Master/Target functions, the version 5.2 of CorePCI is based on RTL software code and also offers a clear migration path to ASIC conversion and future process geometries. The product brings a high-speed PCI core to the programmable device market for about one-third the cost of competitive alternatives, it's claimed. The new version provides a flexible solution for design re-use, and its use of a soft RTL design flow provides complete PCI design portability to ASICs. The CorePCI is a full RTL code version for use in the firm's devices only and includes unlimited reuse and free future upgrades for two years.
