RF Digitizer Copes With Changing Wireless Standards

June 1, 2001

More flexible RF signal processing is promised with the 2319E, the first in a series of signal analysis instruments that functions as an RF digitizer for testing 2G, 2.5G and 3G digital cellular products. The wireless test instrument converts broadband RF signals into high quality, digitized data for external processing in a PC. When combined with an optional high-power digital signal processing (DSP) card and IFR software, the unit can be used as a substitute base-station receiver during early R&D phases for new mobile phones.
The instrument operates across a wide frequency range and provides a 20-MHz bandwidth sufficient to capture four UMTS radio channels. Pricing for the unit is $31,351.
