Designed to quickly integrate Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 (WMV9) in consumer electronics, the Blackfin eMedia platform aids the move from ASIC to programmable DSP-based chip designs for a range of audio and video devices. The ADSP-BF532eM10 is the first processor to employ the platform. It is capable of decoding and sharing high-quality D1 (30 fps) multimedia content via a 16-bit processor-based encoder/decoder for WMV9.
