Lauded as the industry's most advanced synchronous-buck PWM controller with the lowest voltage identification (VID) range, the 6-bit Endura ISL6564 accommodates up to four phases and provides a choice of either MOSFET or inductor current sensing. The chip operates with a switching frequency range up to 1.5 MHz per phase and incorporates dynamic VID technology that allows on-the-fly VID changes that adjust output voltage in milli-volt increments. Other features include a unity-gain differential amplifier for remote voltage sensing and a threshold-sensitive enable input. Price is $1.95 each/100. INTERSIL CORP., Palm Bay, FL. (888) 468-3774.
