Applications such as analog signal routing, gating and digital signal multiplexing/demultiplexing are some of the circuit functions that can be handled by the TS5A23157 single-pole double throw (SPDT) analog switch. The IC draws 1 µA at 5.5V and is rated for operation over a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V. On-state resistance (ron) is specified at 10 with very tight channel-to-channel matching (ron). This minimizes signal distortion allowing for audio, video and general-purpose analog applications. Analog and digital signals of up to V+ (peak) can be passed in either direction without clipping. Break-before-make switching prevents inadvertent connection of two signal sources. Pricing starts at $0.63 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
