TI Launches HDTV Processor and Development Platform

The TVP9010 high-definition television (HDTV) processor and development platform provide users with a comprehensive suite of HDTV and networked DTV tools. The TVP9010 processor delivers full HD 1080p resolution to meet the broadcast requirements for ATSC and DVB-T standards. Addressing the upcoming DTV transition, the company is introducing an ATSC to NTSC converter box reference design based on the TVP9007 processor with an integrated 8-VSB/QAM demodulator. The TVP9010 ATSC HDTV development platform includes 8-VSB/QAM demodulation, audio processing, and power management functions. Audio functions come by way of a TAS3208 audio processor, a dedicated audio DSP designed for DTV audio applications.
