    Promising precise clock generation in networking and other applications, the CY22180 clock achieves a period and cycle-to-cycle jitter output of less than 75 ps over its entire output-frequency range, reaching down as low as 60 ps for commonly used frequencies. The clock is available with field-programmable or factory-programmable options. Its programmable output frequency ranges from 20 MHz to 200 MHz, making it suitable for multiple applications and platforms. Additionally, an integrated phase-locked loop allows the generation of custom frequencies from an external crystal or drive source. Other features include a single programmable output as well as an optional copy of the input frequency, and an on-chip reference oscillator that operates from a 10- to 30-MHz crystal, or an external 10- to 133-MHz clock. Operating over commercial and industrial temperature ranges, the CY22180 comes in an 8-pin SOIC package and requires a 3.3V power supply. In production now, price is under $1.50 each in high volume.
