The ML87V21072 LSI device embodies a 3D noise reduction system with frame, field, and line correlation through use of a FIFO frame memory. A built-in space filter with edge compensation allows the LSI to reduce high-pass noise that could not be reduced with 3D noise reduction alone. It also includes a function to automatically apply brightness-gain correction and color correction after applying noise reduction. The input interface is compatible with ITU-R BT.656, 510H, 760H CCD sampling and the output interface is compatible with ITU-R BT.656, 510H, and 760H. The LSI is also compatible with analog composite and S-video signals via a video encoder, allowing it to directly connect with DSP circuits in CCD image sensor applications. The ML87V21072 comes in two package sizes: a 90-pin BGA (6.4 mm x 10 mm) and a 100-pin TQFP (14 mm x 14 mm). OKI SEMICONDUCTOR, Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 720-1900.
