Delivering real-time signal processing at speeds exceeding 300 GMACs per second, the X5-GSPS PCIe XMC I/O module employs National Semiconductor 1.5 Gsample/s ADC08D1500 dual-channel, eight-bit ADCs interfacing with a Xilinx Virtex5 FPGA computing core and an eight lane PCI Express host interface. The Virtex5 SX95T teams with 512 MB of DDR2 DRAM and 4 MB of QDR-II memory to form a high-performance DSP core. The X5-GSPS offers users a turnkey, modular solution for radio-frequency I/Q demodulation applications or other wideband analog signal capture chores. IP blocks available from the company are embeddable within the FPGA to perform digital down-conversion and decoding. Software tools for host development include C++ libraries and drivers for Windows and Linux. Single-unit pricing is $9,995. INNOVATIVE INTEGRATION, Simi Valley, CA. (805) 578-4260.
