Free App Enables Easy TI Processor Programming

To reduce development time up to 10x, Texas Instruments offers free software packages for its Sitara 32-bit ARM microprocessors, C6000 DSPs, and DSP + ARM processors. The free StarterWare software packages also promise easy migration to other TI embedded devices and simplify the ARM MPU and DSP development process, offering application programming interfaces (APIs) to configure and interface with peripherals. A package includes lightweight software stacks to enable USB, network and graphics functionality, and does not require using or learning the intricacies of an operating system. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
