Designed for USB 2.0 portable audio players, the 120-MHz ML69Q6500 microcontroller exploits the power of an ARM946E 32-bit RISC core. The device integrates USB 2.0 and Ultra-DMA66 ATA interfaces, a 16-bit D-S audio Codec, and offers an optional flash controller interface. Additional features include 128 KB of internal SRAM, 8 KB of D and I Caches, and an interface that will allow for the connection of external flash, SRAM, and SDRAM. It also provides 512 KB of built-in flash memory. In terms of MP3 support, available middleware includes MP3 encode/decode, WMA decode, equalizer and tempo control functions, and SRS WOW surround sound libraries.
