EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. – While drawing a meager 40 mA at 3.3V and 66 MHz, said to be the lowest to date, the 32-bit AVR32 UC3A series microcontrollers deliver up to 80 Dhrystone MIPS performance. The UC3A devices provide 512 KB of flash memory and feature an embedded 10/100 Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 with OTG capability, and an SRAM/SDRAM external bus interface (EBI). The AT32UC3A0512 and AT32UC3A1512, the first devices available, target networking and PC-centric embedded applications and are particularly suited for use in portable devices. The AT32UC3A0512 with EBI comes in a 144-pin QFP and the AT32UC3A1512, without EBI is available in a 100-pin QFP. Pricing starts at $8.16 and $7.43 each/10,000, respectively.
