Designed to accompany the SuperFlash-based FlashFlex51 family of eight-bit, 8051-compatible microcontrollers (MCUs), the Boot-Strap Loader (BSL) demo kit allows users to gain familiarity with the BSL code that is resident in the internal memory of the FlashFlex51 MCU. The BSL code is claimed to provide an easy way for users to install their application code during manufacturing. Features of the demo kit include a menu-driven user interface, security lock setting that prevents accidental overwriting of program memory and software piracy, and automatic baud-rate detection. The demo kit is available and priced at $99.
