It shows mechanical engineers the basic and benefits of converting their designs to an electronics-based solution. The kit includes a Microcontroller Primer, which introduces the reader to microcontrollers and describes how to convert their design to microcontrollers. The PIC12CXXX Applications Handbook illustrates hundreds of simple electromechanical functions which have been converted into real-world microcontroller-based designs.
