Designed for Smart Card applications, the T89SC256C is an 8/16-bit secure microcontroller (MCU) based on an 80C251 enhanced architecture, software compatible with any existing 80C51-based application. The device measures less than 25 mm2 and consumes 10 mA at 5V and 5 mA at 3V.
Claimed as having the industry's largest reprogrammable non-volatile memory,the MCU includes 256 KB of on-chip compact flash memory. Security features include a true random number generator, secure memory management unit, memory error detection and correction, and physical sensors. Price is $7 each/100,000.
