Expanding the company's PIC flash microcontroller offerings are eight devices with low pin counts and higher memory densities plus four devices targeting cost-sensitive designs. The PIC18F2620, PIC18F2610, PIC18F2525, and PIC18F2515 are available in 28-pin SDIP and SOIC packages while the PIC18F4620, PIC18F4610, PIC18F4525, and PIC18F4515 come in 40- and 44-pin PDIPs. They provide either 48 KB or 64 KB of flash memory, 4 KB of RAM, 1 KB of EEPROM, and rely on nanoWatt technology for power-management chores. Other features include a 32 KHz to 32 MHz (8 MIPS) oscillator, fail-safe clock monitor, operating voltage range from 2V to 5.5V, and an operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C. For applications requiring additional, yet economical I/O, the PIC18F6310 and PIC18F6410 debut in 64-pin TQFPs with their partners, the PIC18F8310 and PIC18F8410 in 80-pin TQFPs. The four MCUs offer 8 KB or 16 KB of flash, 768 bytes of RAM, and also employ nanoWatt technology. Depending on the device, prices range from $4.35 to $6.04 each/10,000.
