Low-Cost Flash MCUs Include Clock Generator

Based on the company's 8-bit 68HC08 family of microcontrollers, the 68HC908KX8 (KX8) and 68HC908KX2 (KX2) integrate low-cost flash memory, along with several analog functions, including an accurate internal clock generator (ICG). This eliminates the need for external clock sources, thereby reducing the number of components needed in the circuit. Price for the 68HC908KX8 is $2.70 each and for the 68HC908KX2, $1.95 each for quantities of less than 50,000. Development tools are also available.
