With embedded DRAM and tamper protection for qualified users, the Acalis CPU872 system-on-chip, a field-programmable multicore CPU, combines defenses against malicious circuits and other Trojan horses plus run-time techniques to protect against tampering and reverse engineering. The device contains dual PowerPC 440 and FPU cores, embedded DRAM, and utility compute engines to accelerate computation of complex algorithms, communications, and synchronization between processors. Reportedly, this enables users to build systems with significantly fewer components. For more details, call CPU TECHNOLOGY INC., Pleasanton, CA. (925) 224-9920.
