Advantech's BIOS Wizard, the rapid custom BIOS configuration tool for their embedded hardware platforms, now supports Linux as well as Windows. In addition to adding several key features to the latest version, BIOS Wizard 2.0, there are extra features for more control over a systems' startup. Examples include the ability to configure the boot order according to specific use cases, and customizing the sign-on message to allow easy identification and tracking of customized BIOS versions.
BIOS Wizard 2.0 also improved parsing compatibility for various UEFI based images, supporting additional Advantech products, including older generations. The tool has a tree view showing all BIOS settings at once, with the ability to edit the default configuration and save it to the BIOS image. There are tools to modify or set up a custom OEM-branded boot screen and ensure painless BIOS modifications on Advantech hardware. Users also have resources such as online tutorials explaining how to use the tool in conjunction with Advantech's embedded boards and systems.
