The programmable Model 401B spectrum analyzer features an array of accessories, including calibrated E- and H-field probes, a broadband active antenna, and a high-gain pre-amplifier. The handheld, battery-operated instrument supplies all the power needed for the accessories.The calibrated probes are used to check EMC pre-compliance. For field-strength measurements, the broadband active antenna has a frequency range from 30 to 1,024 MHz. The antenna measures less than 1.2 cm in length, is calibrated in dBµV/m, and has a sensitivity of 57 dBµV/m. The external pre-amplifier has a bandwidth of 1 MHz to 1,024 MHz and a gain of 26 dB.
