Employing the company's patented X-Stream technology and WaveShape Analysis capabilities, the 1-GHz Model 7100 and 3-GHz Model 7300 WavePro digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) claim a price/performance rating that makes them cost-effective for use in a wider range of applications than the company’s previous offerings. Both instruments provide four channels with a sampling rate of 10 Gsamples/s per channel. Maximum sampling rate is 20 Gsamples/s when the DSOs are operated in two-channel mode. Standard acquisition memory length ranges from 1 to 24 Mpoints per channel. The Model 7300 is said to be the industry's first DSO with 3-GHz performance at 50 ohms and the first to provide a high impedance input for signals up to 500 MHz. Other features include a 10.4" SVGA touch-screen display with a user-friendly interface and a Windows 2000-based operating system. The Model 7100 and 7300 are priced at $22,500 and $39,500, respectively. LECROY CORP., Chestnut Ridge, NY. (800) 453-2769.
