Small LCD Module Outperforms Seven-Segment Displays

A small STN LCD module is now available to complement the fully programmable IS series Smartswitch. The LCD's wide, high-contrast viewing area measures 13.9 by 10.6 mm. To maximize clarity, it boasts 36- by 24-pixel resolution. The module is available with straight PC terminals and multicolor LED backlighting with standard or super-bright options. It offers more functionality than a seven-segment display. It suits 1U rack-mount units and compact electronic devices requiring the display of graphics, text, or moving images in tight-fitting locations. In 500-unit quantities, it costs $15 each. Delivery is from stock to a lead time of four weeks.
