Efficiency, economy and versatility are claims made for a series of 8.1", 1/2 VGA graphic LCDs targeted at gaming and vending machines, POS systems, copy machines, and other applications. Made using chip-on-glass (COG) technology, the 232.0 x 97.5-mm F51451 LCD modules have 640 x 240-dot resolution, 15:1 typical contrast ratio, a lifetime of 50,000 hours minimum, and a high-brightness (170 nits at 5 mA typical) CCFL backlight. They also weigh only 227g, have operating and storage temperature ranges of 0°C to 50°C and -20°C to 70°C, respectively, and are available with black-on-white or white-on-blue display modes.
