Factory workers who need fast, localized messaging at the machine level can meet these requierments with the new InView panel-mount display. Employing the same features as existing, larger InView message displays, the new unit shows operating condition messages specific to individual plant cells or machines. Visible up to 25 feet away, the display is designed to communicate information such as maintenance data, process status and alarms at specific locations. It also interfaces with larger displays to deliver these messages plant-wide. Each InView display accommodates up to two lines of red LED text and varying character styles 0.7'' high. The window holds up to 40 characters, and embedded scrolling extends those limits on longer messages. All InView products use a common software and hardware platform and communicate directly from any application supporting ActiveX controls, such as Rockwell Software RSView 32. Also, InView products integrate into a plant’s existing or new control network, which allows users to configure point-to-point controller communication via a standard RS-232 communications port or RS-485 multi-drop network configuration.
