Combining a Compaq computer, JANZ Cancard and software, the CANpak analyzer provides fully portable control, analysis and monitoring for debugging CANbus systems in the field. The instrument is a Linux-based handheld PC that provides pull-down menu selections for monitoring bus activity, filtering only relevant messages, sending messages, and examining message statistics. With a color display, 32 MB of RAM, Li-Ion polymer battery pack, docking station, and an expansion pack for a PC Card, price is from $2,495.
