A new daylight readable display module has been enhanced to meet the low power requirements of outdoor, portable instrumentation devices such as engine diagnostics and inventory control. The 6.4", 800 nit ENH064V1-800 VGA display is comprised of a color TFT-LCD panel, driver ICs, control circuit and power supply circuit. The display is enhanced by an index matching film lamination to the front surface of the display polarizer. The IM film comes in two surface treatments—IM/Clear and IM/110. The IM/110 is distinguished by a 10% diffusion. Graphics and texts on the ENH064V1-800 can be displayed on a 640x3x480 dot panel with 262,144 colors by supplying an 18-bit data signal, four timing signals, +5V DC supply voltage for TFT-LCD panel driving and supply voltage for backlight. Other features include enhancements to increase sunlight readability at only 1.7W per lamp, low-reflection and brightness at 800 cd/m², and a six o’clock viewing angle. Pricing starts at $475 each/100. PANELVIEW INC., Hillsboro, OR. (503) 690-2460.
