A new seven-segment display reportedly delivers the industry?s highest level of uniformity thanks to very tight bin control processes for highest brightness and color consistency. Using the same LED chips as the company?s discrete and surface mount LEDs, the new BD display is targeted at the most demanding industrial, commercial and medical applications. The display comes in a range of single-digit models, with six different digit heights from 7 mm to 25.4 mm, in 24 different styles. Using common anode or cathode circuitry, the BD display can produce any numeric display configuration, including right- and left-hand decimal and 18 alpha characters. Standard wavelengths range from 465 nm to 630 nm, covering the full range of standard colors. Typical face color is black with white diffused segments, though other face colors are available.
