Available in a range of colors, including blue, HP LEDs feature reliability and color and brightness binning to provide manufacturers of appliances and low-cost equipment such as telecom, datacom and consumer with display devices compatible with IR reflow solder processes. The small size and wide viewing angles of these LEDs make them suited for backlighting and front panel indicators. Categories include 3.20 x 1.60 mm, 2 x 1.25 mm, 1.60 x 0.80 mm standard and 3.20 x 1.6 mm right-angle in SiC blue, GaP green, yellow, orange, high-efficiency red and high-brightness DH AlGaAs red; reverse-mount chip-type LEDs that allow illumination through small holes in PCBs allowing single-side mounting with 3.4 x 1.25 mm footprint in GaP orange, yellow and green and high-efficiency red; and SMT bicolor chip-type LEDs in 3.2 x 2.7 mm footprint in red/green, yellow/green and orange/green for backlighting or status indication.
