Nov. 1, 2000

The company's instrumentation and control applications, which includes Labtech Notebook, Notebookpro, Control and Controlpro, are now available in Windows 2000-compatible versions. According to the company, the Windows 2000 platform combines stable, scalable, high-throughput services with the ability to handle a variety of connectivity options. In addition to I/O, analysis and data-display functions, the software creates dynamic Web pages that allow monitoring of process parameters from any attended or unattended location. Major features include full multiprocessing capabilities and an open architecture providing interoperability between data-acquisition devices. Via the graphical user interface, users can generate real-time animated graphics, display data, and control processes in real-time without the need for programming. The software is connected, via hot links, to the company's high-speed software bus. It also allows users to create their own Excel, Visual Basic, or C/C++ applications with full access to the software's capabilities. Pricing starts at $695 for a single workstation license.
