With an eye on the emerging camera-phone market, the Compact Clam color camera (C4) module packs a TFT color main display, a CSTN color sub-display, and a VGA camera in a slim assembly. The C4 module supports integration of multimedia messaging service (MMS) phone-to-phone data transfers. Its main TFT display has a resolution of 128 x 160 with up to 65,000 colors. Used for time, date, battery status, and other information, the sub-display provides a resolution of 98 x 66. A single backlight system illuminates both displays.
