High response speed and sensitivity are among the features expected to help three new single-color silicon photodiodes win color-recognition assignments, as well as use in copiers, optical switches, bar-code readers, and other products. The S6428-01 blue sensor has a photo sensitivity of 0.22 A/W (l = lp) with a spectral response range of 400 to 540 nm, whereas S6429-01green and S6430-01 red sensors offer photosensitivities of 0.27 and 0.45 A/W and spectral response ranges of 480 to 600 nm and 590 to 720 nm, respectively. All three photodiodes have a low dark current of 5 pA, are insensitive to infrared light, and come in a 6 x 8 mm package. And maximum reverse voltage is 10V and operating temperature range is -10°C to 60°C.
