Updates to the PanelView 600 touch-only display promise users enhanced image clarity and quality. The latest version of the display is said to be easier to read in bright-light conditions from a wider range of viewing angles and employs advanced color separation and more consistent backlighting. Another aspect of the upgrade involves migrating the display screen from passive to active matrix TFT technology. Other features of the display include alarm handling, screen security, ATA PC memory card support, universal language support, and on-line printing. It can be interfaced through protocols that include DeviceNet, ControlNet, EtherNet/IP, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, RS-232, Profibus, and Modbus. ROCKWELL AUTOMATION, Bloomington, MN.
