A 10.4" flat panel color display, 1.5-GHz bandwidth and sampling rates of up to 8 GS/s are all features of the LC684D family of four-channel digital storage oscilloscopes. The instruments also offer long records of up to 4 Mbytes/channel or 16 Mbytes on a single channel, enabling designers to capture complex signals with better accuracy. The record length also improves the scopes' ability to zoom in on key details of long signals. The large display makes signal characteristics easier to see. An easy-to-use interface offers dedicated controls for volts/div., time/div., offset and trigger level. Other features include proprietary trigger ICs that enable users to trigger on glitches, runts and slew rates as short as 600 ps. An AutoScroll capability "plays" a zoomed version of a signal in forward or reverse without the need to adjust any controls, making it easy to view details of a long, complex waveform.
