Surface-Mount LED Drivers Are Very Efficient

JKL Components' tiny LD-300A and LD-600A LED drivers can operate up to six 1-W LEDs for LCD backlighting, display/sign lighting, and other applications.

Offering excellent efficiency with a small footprint, the LD-300A and LD-600A drivers target designs using LEDs in surface-mount applications. The LD-300A’s footprint is 10 by 16 mm, and the LD-600A measures 12 by 20 mm. The drivers are designed to work with multiple high-power, high-brightness LEDs, and regulate a constant current with variable input voltages. The LD-300A has the smallest profile at 4.2 mm height, with an output current limit of 300 mA. The LD-600A can drive a maximum of 600 mA with an input of 8 to 28 V dc, and has a profile of 5.5 mm high. Capable of operating up to six 1-W LEDs (at 24 V input) the LD series meets the requirements for LCD backlighting, display/sign lighting, accent and task lighting as well as specialty applications.
