Members of the GRY series of rugged rack-mount CRT displays are designed and built for the factory floor. These units are built on a rugged 19-in. wide aluminum and steel rack-mount chassis with a corrosion-resistant aluminum front panel. The 17-in. GRY 1017 is just 8U high, and the 15-in. GRY 1015 is only 7U high.

Both the 17- and 15-in. displays offer a resolution of 1280 by 1024 pixels at 60 Hz. They withstand ambient temperatures as high as 55°C. The GRY 1015 has a dot pitch of 0.28 mm. The GRY 1017's dot pitch is 0.27 mm. Each operates from a 90- to 246-V autoranging ac supply at 50 to 60 Hz. The front panel and handles have a scratch-resistant black finish. The fully enclosed frame makes an excellent shield against shop-floor EMI and RFI.

In single-unit quantities, the 15-in. GRY 1015 starts at $995 and the 17-in. GRY 1017 at $1295.
