Under laboratory conditions, the company's transparent white OLED tile achieves a luminous efficiency in excess of 20 lm/W at a brightness of 1000 cd/m². A large-scale prototype of the tile with color coordinates of 0.396/0.404 (CIEx/y main emissive side) lights up an area of nearly 90 cm². Whether powered on or off, the OLED is transparent with its transparency currently specified at 55%. Future development sees this value reaching 75%. Relative beam strengths in the tile's two hemispheres are adjustable within a wide range. For more details, call OSRAM OPTO SEMICONDUCTORS, San Jose, CA. (888) 446-7726.
