Capable of operation in temperatures down to -40°C, the ACM1602YE-FL-YBE LCDs do not require contrast adjustments as the temperature changes. The components rely on a special heater, which consists of a sheet of ITO glass next to the LCD. The heater connects to the PCB via metal pins and a thermistor automatically starts the heater when temperature goes down. The thermistor switches the heater on when the temperature reaches -7°C to -9°C. Available for monochrome LCD modules, total operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C. Price for ACM1602YE-FL-YBE starts at $12.52 in sample quantities. AZ DISPLAYS INC., Aliso Viejo, CA. (949) 360-5830.
