MasterSil 415, a one-component silicone elastomer compound for bonding, sealing, and coating, exhibits high transparency and is suitable for use in optical and display applications. It cures at ambient temperatures to a flexible, rubbery solid when exposed to atmospheric moisture and is applicable on vertical surfaces without sagging or running. Set-up time is eight to 12 minutes at 75°F. Other features include a dielectric strength of 500 V/mil., a service temperature range from -185°F to +400°F, Shore A hardness of 30, an elongation at 75°F of 400, and a tensile strength of 325 psi.
