Tiny LED Is Truly Blue

A new chip-type blue SMD LED is both ultra thin and low cost. Employing a 0402 design (1.0 mm x 0.5 mm x 0.5 mm), the GaN blue LED chip is said to be a fraction of the cost of a traditional blue SMD LED. The company's newly introduced 0402 package is also available in the full spectrum of color, from 430 nm to 700 nm, and brightness, from AlInGaP to InGaN, besides the low cost GaN option.
